Thomasboro, Illinois Sondra "Sonnie" J. Davis 1940 — 2022 Sondra "Sonnie" J. Davis, 82, of Thomasboro, IL, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at her home. She was born on July 12, 1940, in Mansfield, Ohio to Edward and Ruth (Boyle) Davis. Sonnie was a lifelong teacher in the Champaign Urbana School District. She was a member of the Midwest Kennel Club where she served as a steward and held various administrative positions including President and Vice President. She absolutely loved dogs and was involved with many dog shows from Illinois to California. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Davis; and sister, Jerri (Virgil) Shafer. Jake was born on July 7, 1936 in Lawrenceville, IL to the late Harold Dale and Dorothy Magdeline (Lockhart) Jacobs. Jake graduated from Vincennes Lincoln High School and attended Vincennes University and Ambassador Institute of Travel. He served in the United States Marine Corps and took part in the 2018 Honor Flight. He retired from SBC after 38 years. She grew up in Decatur, Georgia, and later attended the University of Kentucky, where she met her husband, Gene Frederick Stoll. Rae and Gene were married in 1956.
